Users have reported issues with installing and using Nix from Rhino Setup. This is due to Nix utilities segfaulting, but is only present in the latest Ubuntu build. We are providing a minimal hotfix to switch to the Debian build, if it is needed on the system. The hotfix will automatically check this.
To apply this hotfix, run:
rhino-hotfix nix-bin- You can also run
rhino-hotfixand select it from the list of available hotfixes.
We will leave this hotfix issue active until the bug has been resolved in upstream Ubuntu repositories.
We recommend users get into the habit of running the command
rhino-hotfixto query for available hotfixes distributed by the Rhino Linux team every so often. You can also join our Discord Community to get notified about active hotfixes. - You can also run
