<div class="description">**What feature would you like to see included in Rhino Linux?**
It idles at 43Mb of memory doing nothing, which is not ideal. I have tried to write it in zig, using the libs that the python program uses under the hood but came to various errors. I will try later; this issue is just here for for posterity.

Doing this also would mean it's one less program that doesn't depend on python (yay).

**Describe alternatives you've considered**
Not rewriting, but that's no fun, and I would rather have my 43Mb back.</div>
